A Crime on the Bayou, a Documentary Film by Nancy Buirski, (The Loving Story), is the true story of Gary Duncan, who in 1966, in the south of New Orleans was a young Black fisherman who tried to break up a fight between white and black teenagers outside a school.  He gently lays his hand on the white boy's arm.  That night police arrest him for assault on a minor.

This is his story of the fight not only for Gary Duncan's innocence, but for the right to a simple trial by jury.  But what makes this Oh So Worth a View, is the bond between he and his Jewish attorney and the history they made in the court system for blacks and for the right to stand trial by your peers, and not to be tried and judged by a "judge".

Watch the official trailer below and you can watch the documentary now available on Starz.
